Nhaka Designs is a personal tribute to the country where my story began. Though I’ve called the UK home for over 30 years, Zimbabwe remains at the core of my identity. Witnessing the challenges faced by my homeland over the past two decades, I felt compelled to support the community that shaped my childhood and to spotlight its vibrant contemporary art and design.

Our mission is simple: to inspire thoughtful purchasing by championing ethical, slow production. I believe in buying less but buying better—with genuine respect for both people and the planet. Every piece we carefully curate reflects our deep commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

I so love and enjoy the piece that I have from Johnson and it has been much admired. I feel that the Zimbabweans are so talented and creative with very limited training and equipment. I look forward to being able to indulge in some more art purchases!!
